App name: ZZZ FlashShare (iOS)
This policy explains what information the iOS app “ZZZ FlashShare” (the “App”) handles and how it is used. Please read it before using the App.
1. Our Approach
The App discovers nearby devices over Bluetooth and connects them directly over Wi-Fi to send and receive files. On iPhone it works as a “client” (the sending/receiving side) and connects to a nearby device acting as the “host.” The files you send and receive (photos, videos, documents, etc.) are exchanged by direct device-to-device communication and are never sent to or stored on any server or cloud operated by us.
The App requires no account registration or sign-in, and does not collect information that identifies you.
About ads: The App currently displays no advertising. In the future we plan to introduce ads via Google AdMob to keep the App free. See Section 6 for how that data would be handled.
2. Information Handled on Your Device
The App uses the following information only to perform file transfer. All of it is processed on your device and via direct device-to-device communication, and is not sent to our servers.
2.1 Files you send and receive
- Files you select (photos, videos, documents, etc.) are sent directly to the connected peer (the host) over Wi-Fi
- Received files are stored on your iPhone (in the App’s storage) and can be viewed in the Files app under “On My iPhone > ZZZ FlashShare”
- These files are never sent to or stored on any server or cloud operated by us
2.2 Connection details (SSID, password, IP, etc.)
- The Wi-Fi details used to connect the devices (network name, password, port, IP address) are used solely to establish the connection
- They are exchanged only with the nearby peer over Bluetooth (BLE) and are not sent to any external server or stored persistently
3. How Information Is Used
- Discovering the nearby host over Bluetooth and listing it as a connection target
- Receiving Wi-Fi connection details and joining the host’s Wi-Fi to connect directly
- Sending the files you choose to the host, and saving received files on your iPhone
- Listing, opening, sharing (via the iOS share sheet), and deleting received files
4. Where Information Is Stored
The files and connection details handled by the App stay on your iPhone or within the direct device-to-device communication only.
- ✅ Received files are stored in the App’s storage (viewable in the Files app)
- ❌ No transmission to servers operated by us
- ❌ No upload or backup to the cloud
- ❌ No mechanism for the developer to access your files
5. Sharing with Third Parties
The App never independently provides or sells your transferred files, on-device data, or usage to third parties. Files are sent only to the nearby device you choose.
However, if advertising (Google AdMob) is introduced in the future, Google will obtain certain information for ad delivery (see Section 6). Even then, the files you transfer and the data stored on your device are not sent for advertising purposes.
6. Third-Party Services & Advertising
6.1 Opening an external browser
From the “Help” and “About” screens, the App may open an external browser (e.g., Safari) to view this Privacy Policy or the distribution page of the PC companion tool. This behaves like a normal link tap.
6.2 Google AdMob (advertising — planned for the future)
The App currently displays no advertising. To keep the App free in the future, we plan to introduce Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC). If ads are introduced, the following information would be sent to Google for ad delivery.
- Information sent: IP address, advertising ID (iOS: IDFA), device/OS information, ad display and interaction events
- Information NOT sent: the files you transfer, received files, and other data stored on your device
- Purpose: ad delivery, display, frequency capping, measurement, and fraud prevention
- Controller: Google LLC

6.3 App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
In line with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework, if we use the IDFA to track you across apps for advertising, a permission prompt is shown first. If you do not allow it, IDFA-based tracking is not performed. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
6.4 Consent management (EEA / UK / U.S.)
When ads are introduced, to comply with the GDPR (EU) and U.S. state privacy laws, we plan to obtain consent via Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). Users in the applicable regions will see a consent form; the choice is stored on the device and applied to ad delivery.
7. Permissions (iOS)

You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
8. What We Do NOT Use
- ❌ Analytics (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
- ❌ Crash reporting (Crashlytics, etc.)
- ❌ User authentication / sign-in
- ❌ Social media integration
- ❌ A backend server operated by us
- ❌ Cloud upload of files
Note: Advertising (Google AdMob) is planned for the future (Section 6).
9. Deleting Data
Received files can be selected and deleted from the “Received files” list in the App, or from the Files app under “On My iPhone > ZZZ FlashShare.” Uninstalling the App completely removes the data it stored from your iPhone.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Changes to This Policy
This policy may change without prior notice, particularly as features such as advertising are added. We will inform you of significant changes together with app updates.
